It’s hard to believe that it’s been nine months since we enjoyed a tremendous ministry in Rio. The Rio 16 Outreach was a wonderful time of blessing! Some of you have also been part of other Olympic ministries as far back as Atlanta. Barb and I have had the privilege to be part of the Sydney, Athens, London and Rio outreaches. Matt has attended the Soccer World Cup events in Germany, South Africa and Rio. All have had their challenges as well as their blessings. We are always amazed to see how God works in each event.

| As the directors of S.E.E. (Sports Event Evangelism), Barb and I are gearing up for ministry, not only to the Summer Olympic Games, but also to the FIFA Soccer World Cup events. We are eager to see how God will work in these events. |
|
First of all, we need your prayers. Matt will be leaving on May 10 to make a survey trip to Moscow/St Petersburg, Russia (where the 2018 FIFA World Cup event will be held), and to Tokyo, Japan (where the 2020 Summer Olympic Games will be held). Contacts need to be made in these strategic areas for the upcoming events. There are many logistical challenges, mainly accommodation and transportation, as well as meals, printing of booklets, communications, locations for distribution, etc. In Russia, there will be even more challenges to know government restrictions to our ministry. Please pray that Matt will be able to make appropriate contacts and get a good idea of what will be required for these outreach events to be successful.

FIFA World Cup Outreach!
The outreach to the World Cup is much different than the Olympic outreach. We are constantly on the move and a bed and regular meals are not assured. Yet the opportunities to share Christ are abundant. |

FIFA World Cup 2018, Russia
Russia 2018, as the other FIFA events, will be much smaller in scale.
Probably no more than 12 will be going to this event as it is much more
physically challenging with long distance travel between venues for
outreach.

We hope you choose to partner with this ministry
Please also be in prayer about what God would lead you to do in participation in these ministry opportunities. Not only do we need individuals to participate in attending these events, but we also need financial partners. Maybe you’ve enjoyed the Athens or Rio games, but now because of age or other limitations you are unable to attend future events. Perhaps this would be a way to still participate in the events–through giving financially.
